4. Release the push button within four seconds later on information technology begins to flash
5. There will be an audible signal when the reset is successful

1998

1. Plow ignition switch to position I (ACC)
2. Press and hold the odometer reset push and turn the ignition to position II (RUN)
3. Hold for 10 seconds or until the service light begins to flash
4. Release the push within 4 seconds later on it begins to flash
5. Plough ignition off and back on to confirm reset was successful
   ** Annotation: On early version VDO instrument panels, SERVICE light can but exist reset with a scan tool

1. Remove rubber plug from left side of instrument panel display (Be careful not to scratch drinking glass)
