Joe Harvey Sworn in equally Chief of Golden Police Dept.
Joe Harvey sworn in as Chief of Police by City ClerkOn March 16, the Gilt Police Department swore in Joe Harvey every bit its adjacent Chief of Police as members of the Golden command staff, members of the officers' families and urban center officials looked on.

Updated: March 15 Water Line Rupture

H2o Alert:  March xv -- Due to a major water line rupture early this morning near Highway 6 north of 19th Street, some residents are reporting depression water pressure or brown/dirty water.

The City of Golden Public Works Section has stopped the leak and has contractors on site to repair the water line, and assures residents that all urban center water is safe for all uses.

If your water appears dingy when information technology first comes out of the faucet, run cold water until it clears. Lubahn Trail Maintenance Update

Lubahn TrailheadIn 2020, the Metropolis of Golden began considering whether the Lubahn Trail should be repaired, rerouted or airtight. As currently configured, the single-track trail presents numerous issues. As a result of community appointment that followed, including a public survey and follow-up discussion by the Parks, Recreation and Museums Informational Lath (PRAM), a recommendation was fabricated to Metropolis Council during the March 18, 2021 Advisory Lath meeting to piece of work with Jefferson County Open Space (JCOS) and create an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) that would include a curt-term review, and an agreement to manage and maintain the Lubahn Trail. On May eleven, 2021, Quango supported the recommendation and staff began working with Jefferson County to finalize an RFP for construction of the restoration. In January of 2022, staff applied for and received $87,500 from the JCOS Trails Partnership Program to support structure costs.

Since then, JCOS selected a proposal and will manage the contract with Singletrack Trails (who have a history of trail restoration) to make maintenance updates to the Lubahn Trail. The project began March 14.

Trail enthusiasts and neighbors can look to see fencing and signage on-site indicating closures during weekdays when contractors are on site. When contractors are not on site, the Lubahn Trail will remain open.

Maintenance is estimated to conclude around June one, and is expected to improve trail weather condition, visitor safety and resource protection. During this fourth dimension, the Olivine Trail volition remain open.

Carly Lorentz named Acting City Director starting March eighteen
